Duotone and Tritone:Do you remember old photographs in a nice, cosy, brownish color, the nostalgia of selenium-toned, gold-toned and sepia-toned prints, our free Duotone is the program to produce them. Duotone first creates a nice grayscale (B/W) picture from your photograph and than changes the tonal values from black via brown to white. The banner above shows some examples.In fact Duotone is not only for black-brown-white, but for three colors, as you can change the darkest equivalent from black to any color and modify the lightest white. And the middle color can also be any of the millions of colors the Macintosh has available. A slider allows easy mixing the colors at your taste. Preset combinations are available. But there are a lot more possibilities. The Tritone part of Duotone let you even make a choice from four colors. Both parts allow the strangest color-combinations, what if the gray values of your photograph change from red via green to blue? Try for yourself. Oh yes, you can produce most, if not all, the effects in photoshop(©), but photoshop is very expensive, it will take a month or two to figure out how all the options work, and even then, producing these effects is not easy and quick. Here we have a program with a user-friendly interface, producing the result at the click of the mouse. And there is more:Modern digital cameras produces the best color pictures ever.
